Generally, the usage of our website is possible without disclosing any personal data. As this website’s provider, we are legally obligated to inform you about the purpose, extent and matter of elicitation and usage of your personal data. The EnglishCrossroads language trainings are generated first and foremost for companies and their employees.

This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

We respect the German data protection acts (Telemediengesetz TMG and Bundesdatenschutzgesetz BDSG) and the data protection regulations of the European Union, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (DSGVO). In the following, we will outline which information we gather, process and use during your visit on our website and when obtaining our trainings.

We would like to point out to that data transmission on the internet (e.g. communication via email) can display security holes. Gapless data protection from the access of third parties is therefore not possible.

We hereby explicitly contradict the usage of contact details published within the framework of imprint obligations by third parties in order to send not explicitly requested advertisement and informative literature.


 Data processing

Personal data is all information (factual and personal) which refers to an identified and identifiable natural person. We use this information for the setup, expansion and optimization of your trainings. Furthermore, we use this information for contract implementation and payment processing.

Personal data disclosed to us in an inquiry (e.g. your last name, given name, address or your e-mail address) will be processed to conduct correspondence with you and for the purpose for which you have provided us with said information. We use this information in order to communicate with you as well as to update our data base, to prevent or uncover any kind of misuse, notably fraud, or to enable third parties to execute technical and other services upon our commission.

By submitting the contact form on our website, the given and last name as well as the email address and any further optional details regarding the company will be collected mandatorily. We are processing this information in accordance with article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO and are particularly considering your interest in information gathering.

To make use of the trainings provided, you will receive a link with a questionnaire or an email in order to store your identification data (name, email address, telephone number, language level) there, particularly your interest in efficient training in accordance with article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

In addition to this, we will store the results of the participants’ language assessments, learning progress and surveys. We also process the following data like the company name, the employee’s work position and the contact details of the company’s person in charge. In case you interact with our customer service, we will store and process your identification data and information relevant to your inquiry. This happens for the contract implementation. We take in consideration your interest in an efficient training in accordance with article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

When visiting the website, we process automatic information in accordance with article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. These are cookies in particular. Hereto, you will find additional information further below. 

We process your data in order to carry out trainings. Categorically, your data is only accessible to EnglishCrossroads employees, trainers and your company’s HR department responsible for you as well as your employer, if he is a contractual partner of EnglishCrossroads.

With the exception of the described data transmission to your employer, we categorically do not pass your data on to third parties. We are obligated to collaborate with public authorities, especially law enforcement authorities and courts of law. In this context, we may be obligated to pass your personal data on in order to respond to an inquiry made by investigative authorities or courts of laws.

Storage/disclosure/deletion/blockage of your data

Storage period and storage location of your data

We will only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose. The storage period is determined by the respective legal retention period. Your inventory data will be deleted after the expiration of this deadline unless it is no longer needed to fulfill or initiate a contract and/or if there is no justified interest on our part in the continued storage of your data. If the exercise of intervention rights demands the deletion, we will delete the corresponding data immediately.
